HOW TO FIND THE BEST DEALS

As we have mentioned before, there is no foolproof way to ensure a good price when booking your trip, especially lately with the rise in flight and hotel prices. However, we have found that with Kayak or Google Flights alerts, we can monitor prices and purchase when they seem right to us. For international flights, prices can vary by up to 200€ or more from one day to the next!

We also always try to do our flight searches on Tuesdays, as that's when airlines establish their new weekly fares. And we have to say that we've also found good deals on Sundays compared to days like Friday and Saturday when everything tends to be more expensive.

According to accommodation, we nearly always book with Booking. If everything is very expensive, we look for an Airbnb.

HOW TO PACK

Are you also one of those who pack a thousand clothes for a 'just in case'? It's always a challenge for us to travel with minimal clothing, especially to warm destinations where you feel hot all day long. Since international flights usually include checked luggage, we each bring a carry-on suitcase or one in a medium size for the two of us.

Our great discovery was the famous viral bag from Amazon. Ever since we bought it, there hasn't been a trip where we haven't taken it with us. It's incredibly comfortable to carry, and it's amazing how much it can hold with all its compartments.

And the other big discovery has been travel bags organizer. We couldn't stop watching videos where they recommended them, and now we understand why. They allow you to organize your clothes much better and reduce the space it would take if they were loose.

We bought 2 sets of bags, one in SheIn (4,75€) and the other in Amazon (10,99€), and both are very similar and useful!

MONEY & TRAVEL

We have traveled to several countries whose official currency is not the Euro; therefore, upon arrival, we need to exchange cash into the local currency. What we usually do is exchange as little as possible at the airport to get to our accommodation and then look for an official exchange office with a favorable exchange rate.

When it comes to card payments or if we've run out of cash, we always use the Revolut card, which allows us to withdraw up to 200€ per month per person with no fees. A part from that the App is very easy to use, it allows you to work with different currencies, there are some interesting cashbacks and with its basic fare, it is free (we only paid 10€ to receive the physical credit card at home).
